What to Expect at a Private In-Home Feeding Consult

An initial feeding consult will be scheduled in the comfort of your own home.
You can stay in your pajamas and don't worry about cleaning up!

-Full health history of you and your baby prior to appointment

-Review pregnancy, delivery and feeding history

-Assessment of concerns/issues with feeding

-Weight check on baby (possible pre and post feed weight)

-Examine breasts and baby’s anatomy and sucking ability

-Observe and support positioning and latch

-Support with pump/nipple shield, as needed

-Create an individualized care plan that will work for you and your family (written if needed)

-Relevant literature and resources, as needed

-Follow up call/text/email, as needed

Information that may be helpful to have ready for visit:

-Recent weights

-Wet and dirty diapers in last 24-48hrs

-List of questions/concerns you would like answered
